破伤风: Since students will be working with large animals and learning in an outdoor environment, a current Tetanus toxoid within the last seven (7) years is required. 如果一个学生 vaccine expires while in the program, it is the student’s responsibility to get a 升压.

狂犬病: To comply with requirements set forth by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Southeast Technical College requires all students accepted into the Veterinary Technician program to be vaccinated against rabies. The rabies pre-exposure vaccination consists of three (3) doses of inactivated rabies vaccine administered intramuscularly in the deltoid regions on days 0, 7 and either day 21 or 28 for proper vaccination. The vaccination should be administered through each student’s healthcare provider.

Students are encouraged to inform medical providers the vaccinations are required for their academic program so that available insurance options may be presented.
